The German attacker joins the Italian side on a season-long
loan, and has already started getting acclimated to his new teammates ahead of
Tuesday's match against Juventus:
Podolski will surely see more playing time with Inter than
he did at Arsenal, where he made just seven Premier League appearances - all as
a substitute - for a total of 99 minutes on the campaign.
While it's unlikely manager Roberto Mancini will throw him
into the fire against the league leaders after just one training session,
Podolski figures to be an important member of a team that, despite sitting 11th
in the table, is targeting Champions League qualification this season.
The details surrounding Podolski's move have yet to be
published, but it appears as though Arsenal accepted Inter's second bid for the
German forward following an offer that Arsene Wenger described as as a
"joke," "not serious" and "farcical."
Podolski has struggled to receive minutes at the Emirates
Stadium this season having made only seven Premier League appearances, all of
which have come as a substitute.
