56% Budget Implementation: I Was Misquoted --Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala

Nigeria's minister of finance, Ngozi Okonjo Iweala, claimed today she was "misquoted" by the media when she stated that  the 2012 budget has recorded 56% implementation.
With eyes popping today during an appearance before the Nigerian  Senate Committee on Appropriation over non-implementation of  Appropriation Act 2012  in Abuja on Thursday,  Mrs. Iweala still couldn't tell the correct figure.
 The house of representatives said only 34% of the annual budget has been implemented as of July 2012.
