No Bikini? Janet Jackson Covers Up Her Curves In Baggy Outfit

It was her third day soaking up the sunshine on a romantic Italian holiday with businessman boyfriend Wissam Al Mana. But Janet Jackson seemed determined to cover up her famous curves as she relaxed on a yacht in an extremely baggy outfit.
The 46-year-old singer sported a loose fitting white T-shirt and unflattering baggy trousers while holidaying with her boyfriend just off the coast of the Italian island of Sardinia.

Janet and Wissam looked perfectly co-ordinated in their white tops, with Wissam sporting a pair of black shorts.
At one point, he soaked his feet in the water, while showing his girlfriend an amusing text on his cell phone.
For a star famous for her clingy and occasionally risque stage outfits, Janet has been adopting a much more conservative wardrobe for her vacation.

Yesterday, the singer was seen in a grey maxi dress and fedora, trading body-con clothing for chic lounge wear as she boarded a speed boat in Porto Cervo.
She sported an off-the-shoulder maxi and tied her hair back in a messy bun, joining Wissam for drinks and relaxing time on deck.
But she seemed determined to keep herself covered up, even when Wissam stripped off his shirt on board, baring his toned stomach in a pair of shorts, Janet kept her swimwear hidden.

The star seems to be somewhat self-conscious on her vacation, having stepped out earlier this week in a long-sleeve top, a hooded sweater, long trousers, and a bucket hat - all in black.
She even had a pair of white socks on her feet on Monday - and was presumably sweltering in the heat.

While many would be roasting in the ensemble, strangely Janet kept adding to the layers by putting on a jacket over the top while her beau for a more appropriate combination of shorts and a tank top.

The Black Cat singer has spoken about struggling with her body image in the past and suffered for years to maintain her famous rock hard abs with years of yo-yo dieting.

Speaking to Us Weekly last year, after a dramatic weight gain, she revealed she has long been an emotional eater.
She told the magazine: 'When I'm down or really stressed, I eat because that's my comfort place.'

But in May, after shedding the pounds, she revealed she is in a much happier place, never weighs herself, and refuses to deprive herself of her favourite food: caramel apples.
And while she said she's no longer in the shape she used to be in, she's happy to no longer be a slave to the scale.
Janet told People magazine: 'I don't know how much weight I've lost, only because I stay away from the scale. I don't think [stepping on the scale] is healthy.

She explained: 'You're setting yourself up to fail and women's bodies fluctuate every month - certain times of the month in particular - we bloat a great deal.'

The singer credits weight-loss program Nutrisystem for successfully shedding the pounds, and now serves as a spokesman for the company.

 

She also explained that keeping the weight off is all about moderation, and exercise.

'I go out to dinner with friends too, but then I just get back on it. It's about maintenance,' she said.

But when it's time to perform - she kicks her workouts into high gear.

'If I'm getting ready for something like a tour, I work out six days a week,' she explained. 'I like to switch it up. I may go for a run or bike.'

Jackson began dating Wissam, who is nine years her junior, following her split from long term beau Jermaine Dupri in 2009.

He is said to have helped the singer deal with the death of her brother Michael, and while she is tight-lipped about their romance, she told Harper's Bazaar Arabia last year the pair share  'a deep bond'.
